  • 1 can can of chili Your choice of chili, meat or vegetarian.
  • 6-8 pieces hot dogs Can be replaced with sausages or veggie dogs.
  • 1 package crescent roll dough Ensure it's well-sealed.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or blend) Add more for extra cheesiness if desired.
Optional Toppings
  • diced onions For added crunch.
  • jalapeños For a spicy kick.
  • sour cream To serve for creaminess.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 6x10 or 7x11 baking dish.
  2. Pour the chili into the bottom of the dish and spread it evenly.
  3. Cut the hot dogs in half lengthwise and arrange them over the chili.
  4. Roll out the crescent roll dough and layer it over the hot dogs, sealing any gaps.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, adding optional toppings as desired.

Notes

To store leftovers, let cool completely and place in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. For more flavor, consider using spicy chili or adding hot sauce. Vegetarian options are possible with veggie dogs and chili.
