Chicken Preparation
  • 2 pieces Chicken breasts Ensure they are boneless and skinless.
  • 1 cup Breading (flour, breadcrumbs, or panko) Use your preferred type of breading.
  • 2 large Eggs Beaten for the dredging process.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.
Assembly Ingredients
  • 2 pieces Soft sandwich buns Any type of soft bun can be used.
  • to taste Pickles Optional toppings.
  • to taste Lettuce Optional, for added crunch.
  • to taste Tomato slices Optional, adds freshness.
  • to taste Mayonnaise Optional for creaminess.
  • as needed Cooking spray or oil for air frying To ensure the chicken doesn't stick.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer according to manufacturer instructions.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge the chicken in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
Cooking
  1. Arrange the coated chicken in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with cooking spray or oil.
  2. Air fry the chicken at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Toast the sandwich buns in the air fryer for a couple of minutes if desired.
Assembly
  1. Assemble the sandwiches by placing the crispy chicken on the bun, adding extra pickles, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise if using.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy your comfort food heaven!

Notes

Store leftover chicken or sandwiches in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For the best taste, keep chicken and toppings separate and assemble fresh before serving.
