Ingredients
  

For the Garlic & Lemon Marinade
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 60 ml lemon juice
  • 40 ml olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 500 g chicken pieces
For the BBQ Marinade
  • 150 g BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 500 g chicken pieces
For the Honey Mustard Marinade
  • 3 tablespoons mustard
  • 3 tablespoons honey (for the honey mustard)
  • 20 ml oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 500 g chicken pieces
For the Spicy Marinade
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 clove garlic (for the spicy marinade) minced
  • 20 ml oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 500 g chicken pieces

Method
 

Prep Garlic & Lemon Marinade
  1. In a bag or container, combine minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the chicken and massage it well.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours; overnight is best.
Prep BBQ Marinade
  1. Mix BBQ sauce, honey, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Coat the chicken well with this mixture and let it marinate for at least 2 hours.
Prep Honey Mustard Marinade
  1. Combine mustard, honey, oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl until smooth and creamy.
  2. Marinate the chicken for 2 to 4 hours.
Prep Spicy Marinade
  1. In a bowl, mix hot sauce, paprika, minced garlic, oil, salt, and pepper well.
  2. Coat the chicken and let it marinate for at least 2 hours.
Serving
  1. Once your chicken is well marinated, grill, bake, or pan-fry according to your preference.
  2. Serve with rice, fresh salad, or grilled vegetables.
  3. Drizzle any remaining marinade over cooked chicken for extra flavor.

Notes

Refrigerate marinating chicken to prevent bacterial growth. Consider adding fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary to enhance flavor. A quick 30-minute marinade can also work in a pinch. Adjust spices and ingredients based on personal taste.
