  • 2 cups Chili Use any type of chili you like (beef, turkey, or vegetarian).
Cheese
  • 1 cup Cheese Experiment with different types of cheese such as cheddar or pepper jack.
Cornbread Layer
  • 1 box Jiffy cornbread mix Can substitute with homemade cornbread if preferred.
  • 1/3 cup Water As needed for Jiffy mix preparation.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven according to the Jiffy mix instructions.
  2. Spread the chili evenly in a baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle a layer of cheese on top of the chili.
  4. Prepare the Jiffy mix according to the package instructions and pour it over the cheese layer.
Baking
  1. Bake according to the box instructions.
  2. If the middle isn’t done, poke some holes in the top and cook on the top shelf until fully cooked.

Notes

Serve hot from the oven; enjoy with toppings like sour cream, green onions, or jalapeños for an extra kick. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
