Preparation
- Preheat the oven according to Jiffy cornbread mix instructions.
- Spread the chili on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer shredded cheese on top of the chili.
- Prepare the Jiffy mix according to the box instructions and pour it over the cheese layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the cornbread is done.
- If the middle isn’t done, poke some holes in the top and return to the top shelf of the oven until cooked through.
Notes
Serve hot, right from the oven. Pairs well with a side salad or tortilla chips. Can add toppings like sour cream, chopped green onions, or jalapeños. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month.
