Method
Preparation of beef mixture
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add diced onions, bell peppers, and taco seasoning to the skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender.
- Remove the skillet from heat and let cool slightly.
Assembling the wraps
- Lay out the tortillas and evenly distribute the beef mixture among them.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the beef mixture.
- Roll up each tortilla tightly, folding in the sides as you go.
Toasting the wraps
- In the same skillet, lightly toast each wrapped tortilla over medium heat until the cheese is melted and the wraps are golden.
Serving
- Serve warm with sour cream and salsa if desired.
Notes
Use different types of cheese to change the flavor profile. For extra crunch, add lettuce or avocado slices inside the wraps. If you like it spicy, mix in jalapeƱos or hot sauce with the beef mixture. You can easily turn this recipe into a vegetarian option by replacing the ground beef with black beans or lentils.
