Cheesy Beef Ravioli Casserole

Ingredients
  

Meat and Sauce
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 jar 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 can 15 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Pasta and Cheese
  • 1 package 25 oz frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 package 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Garnish
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; cook for 2–3 minutes. Stir in marinara sauce, crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, combine ricotta, sour cream, cream cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Mix until smooth.
  5. Spread a thin layer of sauce on the baking dish. Add half the ravioli, half the cheese mixture, and half the sauce. Repeat layers.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  7. Let it cool slightly, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Pair with a green salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. A sprinkle of extra Parmesan adds a delicious final touch! Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
