  • 1–2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced squash or zucchini with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the rounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning over the squash.
  5. Top with shredded cheese and grated Parmesan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the squash is tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider adding breadcrumbs on top of the cheese before baking. Ensure even cooking by slicing the squash into uniform rounds.
