Ingredients
  

For the filling
  • 1 lb Ground beef Cooked and seasoned
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese Or your preferred cheese
  • 4 slices American cheese Or your preferred cheese
  • 1/2 cup Chopped pickles
  • 1 tbsp Ketchup For flavor
  • 1 tbsp Mustard For flavor
For the dough and toppings
  • 1 lb Pizza dough Homemade or store-bought
  • 2 tbsp Melted butter For brushing
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds Optional garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, seasoning with salt and black pepper, until browned. Drain excess grease.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into squares.
  3. Place a spoonful of cooked ground beef on each square, followed by a slice of cheddar cheese, a slice of American cheese, some chopped pickles, and a drizzle of ketchup and mustard.
  4. Fold the pizza dough over the filling to create pockets, sealing the edges well.
  5. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the pockets for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with extra ketchup and mustard for dipping. Pair with fries or a fresh salad.

Notes

For a crisper pocket, pre-bake the pizza dough squares for a few minutes before adding the filling. You can customize with different cheeses or make a vegetarian version with black beans or lentils.
