Preparation
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, seasoning with salt and black pepper, until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into squares.
- Place a spoonful of cooked ground beef on each square, followed by a slice of cheddar cheese, a slice of American cheese, some chopped pickles, and a drizzle of ketchup and mustard.
- Fold the pizza dough over the filling to create pockets, sealing the edges well.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the pockets for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Serving
- Serve warm with extra ketchup and mustard for dipping. Pair with fries or a fresh salad.
Notes
For a crisper pocket, pre-bake the pizza dough squares for a few minutes before adding the filling. You can customize with different cheeses or make a vegetarian version with black beans or lentils.
