Ingredients
  

Pasta and Meat
  • 400 grams Spaghetti Use your favorite type of pasta.
  • 150 grams Bacon or pancetta Crispy bacon or pancetta adds flavor.
Sauce Ingredients
  • 3 large Eggs Use fresh eggs for best results.
  • 100 grams Parmesan cheese Grated for easy mixing.
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced for flavor.
  • to taste Black pepper Freshly ground for best flavor.
  • to taste Salt For seasoning.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For sautéing the bacon.

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
Preparing the Bacon
  1. In a pan, sauté bacon or pancetta until crispy.
Mixing the Sauce
  1. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, and black pepper.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve some pasta water and drain.
  2. Quickly combine the hot pasta with the bacon and remove from heat.
  3. Stir in the egg mixture, adding reserved pasta water to create a creamy sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve carbonara hot, topped with additional Parmesan cheese and freshly ground black pepper.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within two days. Reheat by adding a bit of water or olive oil to prevent drying out.
