Preparation
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm milk, egg, and butter. Knead the mixture for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let the dough rise for 1-2 hours, until it has doubled in size.
Shaping
- Divide the dough into equal portions, shape each portion into a ball, and place them on a baking tray.
- Allow the dough balls to proof again for 30-40 minutes.
Baking
- Brush the tops with milk or an egg wash, then sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 18-20 minutes, until golden brown.
- Cool the buns on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
Make sure to knead the dough well for a soft and fluffy texture. You can customize by adding herbs or spices.
