Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix-ins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the maple syrup and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

These cookies are best enjoyed warm but are also delicious at room temperature. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week or freeze for up to three months. You can add nuts or dried fruits, adjust sweetness, or use whole wheat flour for a healthier option.
