Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup oats Use rolled or quick oats.
  • 1/2 cup flour Can substitute with whole wheat flour.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup Can substitute with honey.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Use dark, white, or dairy-free chips.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the maple syrup and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a lined baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
  2. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed warm. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to three months. You can add nuts or dried fruits for extra texture and flavor.
