Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 4 large large limes (or 6 key limes) Use fresh limes for the best flavor.
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 4 ounces sweetened condensed milk Adjust sweetness as needed.
  • 5 cups ice, divided (1 cup for blending, 4 cups for serving) Use more ice for serving.

Method

Preparation
  1. Rinse the limes well and cut them into quarters.
  2. Place the lime quarters into a powerful blender without peeling them. Add 3 cups of cold water.
  3. Blend for about 30 seconds or until everything is smooth. Make sure not to overblend, as this can cause bitterness.
  4. Strain the lime juice through a fine sieve to remove all the pulp.
  5. Return the strained juice back to the blender. Add half a can of sweetened condensed milk and 1 cup of ice.
  6. Blend again until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more condensed milk if needed.
Serving
  1. Serve the Brazilian Lemonade over ice in cups and enjoy!

Notes

If you have leftover Brazilian Lemonade, store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Keep in mind the ice will melt and dilute the flavor. For an extra creamy texture, blend in more sweetened condensed milk according to your taste.
