  • 2 cups frozen blueberries Frozen blueberries give a thicker texture.
  • 1 frozen banana Acts as a natural sweetener and thickener.
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt Can be substituted with dairy-free yogurt.
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds Rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a high-powered blender, combine the coconut water, frozen blueberries, frozen banana, Greek yogurt, and flax seeds.
  2. Blend for about 30 seconds, or until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
Serving
  1. Pour the smoothie into glasses.
  2. Garnish with extra blueberries if desired and serve cold.
Storage
  1. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  2. Consume within a day for optimal freshness and shake well before drinking if it separates.

Notes

For a sweeter smoothie, add honey or maple syrup. You can also include a handful of spinach or kale for additional nutrients.
