  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed Ensure fully thawed for easy rolling.
  • 6 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 cup fresh blackberries, chopped
  • 1-2 pieces jalapeños, diced Adjust amount based on spice preference.
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares.
  3. Place a small cube of brie, a few pieces of blackberry, and some diced jalapeño in the center of each square.
  4. Fold the corners of the pastry squares over the filling and seal them.
  5. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Place the filled pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These sizzle bites are best served warm. You can serve them with a dipping sauce, like a sweet chili sauce or a honey drizzle. To store leftovers, keep in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
