Preparation
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef, breaking it into small pieces. Once browned, drain excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning and the amount of water specified on the packet. Stir and simmer until thickened and the flavors blend beautifully.
- Heat the nacho cheese sauce until smooth and runny. (Homemade sauce works wonderfully too.)
- Lay a flour tortilla flat. In the center, create layers of seasoned beef, shredded cheddar, and warm nacho cheese.
- Add sour cream, tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños for extra brightness and heat. Fold the sides inward and roll from the bottom tightly.
- For crispy edges, place burritos seam-side down in a lightly greased skillet. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden and melted inside.
- For a soft and melty burrito, bake at 175°C (350°F) for 10–15 minutes.
- Slice in half and serve hot with extra nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.
Notes
Ultra melty and comforting, quick to prepare, and flexible with toppings. Perfect weeknight meal or weekend craving fix.
