  • 1.5 pounds ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier dish.
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped Feel free to substitute with red or yellow bell pepper.
  • 1 onion, chopped Use yellow or white onion for best flavor.
  • 2 large jars Tostitos salsa Choose mild or hot salsa based on your spice preference.
  • 1 small jar Traditional Ragu Any marinara sauce can be used.
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and green pepper to the skillet and sauté until tender.
  3. Stir in the onion powder, garlic powder, salsa, and Ragu.
  4. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
  5. Serve warm hot, straight from the skillet.

Notes

This dish can be served as a main course or as a filling side. For added flavor, top with cheese, sour cream, or avocado. To store, let cool, then refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 2-3 months.
