Ingredients
  

For the Marinade
  • 1 1/4 kilograms beef Choose cuts like brisket or chuck for tenderness.
  • 2 fresh lemons juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • Ground black pepper black pepper To taste.
Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 bell peppers bell peppers Chopped.
  • 3 medium potatoes Fried and served on the side.
  • 1 can liver spread
  • 3 star anise star anise
  • 2 bay leaves bay leaves
  • 4 tbsp margarine
  • 60 g grated cheese For topping.
  • 5 cloves garlic Sautéed.
  • 1 large onion Sautéed.
  • 1 beef cube beef cube
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Marinate the beef with lemon juice, soy sauce, and ground black pepper for about 1 hour. Strain the marinade sauce and set aside.
  2. Fry the potatoes in a pan with oil until cooked. Set aside.
Cooking
  1. In the same pan, add margarine. Sauté the garlic until brown.
  2. Sauté the onion and bell peppers until soft. Add bay leaves and tomato paste; sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the marinated beef and sauté until brown. Then, add the liver spread, tomato sauce, and marinade sauce. Sauté for 5 minutes.
  4. Add water and beef cubes. Cook until the beef is tender.
  5. Add star anise and sugar. Continue cooking until the sauce thickens and reduces.
Serving
  1. Serve with fried potatoes and rice. Add a sprinkle of grated cheese on top.

Notes

For extra tenderness, allow the beef to marinate longer if time permits. Adjust seasoning to taste, and add chili flakes for a spicy kick. Use fresh ingredients for best results.
