Ingredients
  

Pasta and Sauce Ingredients
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
Creamy Mixture Ingredients
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
Cheese Ingredients
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef or Italian sausage Optional, but highly recommended.
  • Fresh parsley for garnish Optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to the package directions, drain, and set aside.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a large mixing bowl, blend together the cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  2. Stir the marinara sauce into the creamy mixture. If using, mix in the cooked ground beef or sausage.
Assembly & Baking
  1. Add the spaghetti and half of the mozzarella to the bowl and gently toss until coated.
  2. Spread the mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with the remaining mozzarella and all of the Parmesan.
  3. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling.
Finishing Touches
  1. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
