Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a rectangular baking pan, place the raw penne pasta at the bottom.
- Layer the frozen breaded chicken patties on top of the penne.
- Add the marinara sauce, shredded cheese, and chopped vegetables over the patties.
- Add enough water or broth to cover the pasta.
- Cover the pan with aluminum foil.
Baking
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the pasta is tender.
- Remove foil, and bake for an additional 10 minutes to brown the top if desired.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
To serve, sprinkle some extra cheese or fresh herbs on top for added flavor. This meal pairs well with a simple green salad or garlic bread for an extra crunch. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 2-3 months.
