  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Use more for an intense flavor if desired.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and chopped Use firm varieties like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
  • Powdered sugar for dusting Optional, for serving.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar. Pair with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, or a light glaze. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
