Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 medium onion, diced White or yellow onion works well.
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic Fresh garlic is preferable.
  • 2 cups instant rice Can substitute with brown rice, but adjust cooking time.
  • 2 cups beef broth Low-sodium broth can be used to reduce salt.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to mix with other types of cheese.
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled Can use turkey bacon for a lighter option.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust seasoning according to preference.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the instant rice and beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and cover.
  4. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
  5. Stir in the cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon until melted and well combined.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

This dish is great served on its own or with a side salad. Add extra toppings like sliced tomatoes, pickles, or additional cheese for more flavor. If you prefer a thicker consistency, use less beef broth.
