Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef until browned, then add the diced onion and cook until translucent. Stir in the chopped bacon. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk, then set aside.
Layering
- In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the bread slices on the bottom, followed by half of the beef and bacon mixture. Sprinkle half of the cheese on top. Repeat the layers.
- Pour the egg and milk mixture over the casserole, allowing it to soak in.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and set.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
