  • 1 bunch asparagus Fresh asparagus, look for bright green stalks.
  • 8 slices bacon Regular or turkey bacon can be used.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to try other cheese types for variation.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Can add garlic powder or paprika for extra flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the ends of the asparagus and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Take a slice of bacon and wrap it around each asparagus spear, leaving the top exposed.
  4. Place them on a baking sheet and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the asparagus is tender.
  2. Serve hot.

Notes

If you have leftovers, let them cool down completely and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
