Ingredients
  

Potato Mixture
  • 500 g russet potatoes Use for best texture and flavor.
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) Experiment with different kinds of cheese.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying For frying the tater tots.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Boil the russet potatoes until fork-tender. Drain and let cool slightly.
  2. Peel and mash the potatoes in a bowl.
  3. Mix in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Form small rounds of the potato mixture and flatten them.
  5. In the center of each, place a small amount of crumbled bacon and shredded cheese, then fold the potato around the filling to form a ball.
  6. Freeze the stuffed tater tots for about 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry the tater tots until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  3. Drain on paper towels before serving.

Notes

Serve hot with dipping sauces like ketchup, ranch dressing, or cheese sauce. Great for sharing at parties. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
