Preparation and Cooking
- Heat a pan over medium heat and add the butter.
- Place one tortilla in the pan and spread a portion of the apple pie filling or cooked cinnamon apples on half of it.
- Sprinkle some brown sugar over the apples.
- Fold the tortilla in half and cook until golden brown on one side.
- Flip and cook the other side until golden.
- Remove from the pan and repeat with the remaining tortillas.
Serving
- Serve warm, optionally with maple syrup or whipped cream.
Notes
Use fresh apples if preferred and sauté them with cinnamon and sugar for a homemade filling. Experiment with different toppings like nuts or raisins for extra texture. For a crispy exterior, cook the quesadillas until they are very golden.
