Quesadilla Ingredients
  • 4 pieces flour tortillas
  • 2 cups apple pie filling or cooked cinnamon apples homemade filling can also be used
  • 2 tbsp butter for cooking
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar to sprinkle over the filling

Method
 

Preparation and Cooking
  1. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the butter.
  2. Place one tortilla in the pan and spread a portion of the apple pie filling or cooked cinnamon apples on half of it.
  3. Sprinkle some brown sugar over the apples.
  4. Fold the tortilla in half and cook until golden brown on one side.
  5. Flip and cook the other side until golden.
  6. Remove from the pan and repeat with the remaining tortillas.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, optionally with maple syrup or whipped cream.

Notes

Use fresh apples if preferred and sauté them with cinnamon and sugar for a homemade filling. Experiment with different toppings like nuts or raisins for extra texture. For a crispy exterior, cook the quesadillas until they are very golden.
