Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound lean ground beef Use the leanest option to reduce fat.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 12 pieces corn tortillas Thick or thin, based on preference.
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar Substitute with other cheese if desired.
Toppings
  • 1 cup Lettuce For topping.
  • 1 cup Tomatoes Diced, for topping.
  • 1 medium Red onion Diced, for topping.

Method

Preparation
  1. Add the ground beef to a medium skillet over medium heat. Crumble the beef as it cooks.
  2. Once browned, drain the grease and stir in the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water.
  3. Continue cooking on medium heat until most of the liquid has evaporated.
  4. Meanwhile, place 4 tortillas on a microwave-safe plate and cover them with a damp paper towel. Microwave for 20 seconds to soften.
Cooking
  1. Fill each tortilla with a few tablespoons of beef and some shredded cheese, then fold to close.
  2. Spray your air fryer basket with oil spray and place the tacos in the basket in a single layer.
  3. Lightly spritz the tops with more oil spray.
  4. Cook at 400°F for 6 minutes. The tortillas will crisp up further once removed from the air fryer.
  5. Repeat steps 3 through 5 for the remaining tacos, keeping the first batch warm in the oven while you cook the others.
Serving
  1. Before serving, you may add lettuce, diced tomatoes, and onion to each taco if desired.

Notes

Serve warm for best taste and texture. These tacos pair well with salsa, guacamole, or sour cream. Customize your tacos with different meats or vegetarian options. For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños.
