Preparation
- Wash and slice the potatoes thinly using a mandoline or knife.
- Soak the potato slices in water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain and pat the slices dry with a towel.
- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (180°C).
Cooking
- In a bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil and salt (and any other desired seasonings).
- Place the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chips are golden and crispy.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For the best results, cut the potato slices evenly for uniform cooking. If making a larger batch, cook the chips in smaller batches to ensure even cooking. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
