Ingredients for the Sandwich
  • 2 slices slices bread Use your favorite type of bread.
  • 2 tsp butter (or cooking spray) Spread on one side of each slice of bread.
  • 2 slices cheese Cheddar, American, or Swiss work well.
  • 1/4 pear thinly sliced pear Optional for added flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. If using cooking spray, lightly coat one side of the bread.
  2. Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in the air fryer. Add cheese slices and thin pear slices on top. Place the second slice of bread on top, butter side up.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (190°C). Place the sandwich in the fryer basket and cook for about 8 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispness.
  2. Check for doneness to ensure the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown. If needed, add another 1-2 minutes.
Serving
  1. Once done, carefully remove the sandwich from the air fryer, let it cool for a moment, then cut it in half.

Notes

Serve warm with a dipping sauce like tomato soup or spicy ketchup. Can be accompanied by fresh fruits or a light salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
