Ingredients
  

For the coating
  • 1 pound fresh green beans Trimmed and rinsed
  • 1 cup flour For coating
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt Divided
  • 2 large eggs Beaten
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • Oil spray For air frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Trim the ends off the green beans and rinse them well.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, add the green beans and boil for about 3 minutes.
  3. Remove the beans from boiling water and place them in ice water for 2 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
Coating and Air Frying
  1. In a shallow dish, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
  2. In a second dish, beat the eggs until smooth.
  3. In a third dish, combine panko, Parmesan, and the remaining salt.
  4. Dip green beans in flour, then egg, and coat with panko.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 390 degrees; spritz the basket with oil spray.
  6. Arrange green beans in a single layer and spritz with oil. Air fry for 5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Repeat with remaining green beans.

Notes

Serve Air Fryer Green Bean Fries hot with dipping sauces like garlic aioli or ranch for the best texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; reheat in the air fryer.
