Ingredients

For the Fish Sticks
  • 24 ounces tilapia fillets (approximately 4 fillets)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C).
  2. Cut the tilapia fillets into bite-sized chunks.
  3. Set out three bowls: place flour in one bowl, beat the eggs in another, and put the bread crumbs in the third bowl.
Coating
  1. Working with one piece of fish at a time, dip it into the flour, then the eggs, and finally into the breadcrumbs.
Cooking
  1. Place the coated fish pieces into the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t touch each other. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you can fit about 12 pieces in each batch.
  2. Air fry the fish sticks for 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through. When they are done, remove them from the air fryer and sprinkle with paprika.

Notes

Ensure the fish is dry before dipping it in flour; this helps the coating stick better. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. If you have more fish sticks, cook them in batches for even cooking. Experiment with different bread crumbs, like panko, for an extra crunch. For added flavor, try seasoning the flour or bread crumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, or your favorite herbs.
