Ingredients

For the Tuna Mixture
  • 2 pieces English muffins, halved
  • 2 cans tuna, drained (5-ounce cans)
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 3 tablespoons diced celery
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Cheese Toppings
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  2. Place the sliced English muffins in the air fryer and toast them until lightly browned, about 2 to 4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine the tuna, mayonnaise, mustard, celery, onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
  4. Divide the tuna mixture into 4 equal parts. Spread each part on an English muffin half.
  5. Top each muffin half with 1 slice of provolone cheese and 1 slice of Cheddar cheese.
Cooking
  1. Air fry the assembled tuna melts until the cheese is melted, about 5 to 8 minutes.

Notes

Serve warm right out of the air fryer. Pair with a side salad or crunchy chips. Great for sharing; cut the muffins into smaller pieces for appetizers. For added heat, consider diced jalapeƱos or cayenne in the tuna. Customize using your favorite cheeses.
