Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, cayenne pepper, and salt.
- Add the thinly sliced onion to the bowl and toss until each slice is well coated with the flour mixture.
Cooking
- Place the coated onion slices in the basket of the air fryer. Spray them lightly with avocado oil.
- Air fry the onions for about 18 to 23 minutes, shaking the basket every 4 to 5 minutes to ensure even cooking. They should turn golden brown when ready.
Notes
Make sure to slice the onions thinly for even cooking. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. Experiment with different seasonings by adding garlic powder or paprika for extra flavor. Keep an eye on them in the last few minutes of cooking to avoid burning.
