Ingredients
  

Lemon Garlic Marinade
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 lemons Juice of 2 lemons
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes
Cilantro Lime Marinade
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 limes Juice of 2 limes
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
Teriyaki Marinade
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
Spicy Chipotle Marinade
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste

Method
 

Prepare the Marinades
  1. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for each marinade. Stir well until combined.
Marinate the Shrimp
  1. Take your raw shrimp (about 1 pound) and divide it into four portions.
  2. Place each portion in a ziplock bag or bowl.
  3. Pour the corresponding marinade over each shrimp portion, coating the shrimp evenly.
  4. Seal the bags or cover the bowls and refrigerate. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.
Cook the Shrimp
  1. When ready to cook, heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and cooked through.
Repeat
  1. For each marinade, follow the same steps for cooking.

Notes

Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor. Frozen shrimp works too, just ensure they are thawed properly. For more spice, add garlic or spices. Try to marinate the shrimp for at least 30 minutes to absorb flavors well. Cooked shrimp can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and raw marinated shrimp in the freezer for up to 3 months.
